Drive System
Drive system consists of two NPC Thingap TG3242HT motors, Two castors, and two W238-150-44H Wheels. The motors have a 26:1 gear ratio, And are only 1.5" tall. The castors are rated at 90lbs each, which with the 120lbs of the bot divided 4 ways between the wheels and the castors will be more than suffcient to handle any load the bot will take. The castors will be placed in the back corners of the bot, and the motors and wheels will be placed near the center of the bot along the sides. The wheels will be internal, so they won't be at risk for a hit. The only intergration that we will have with other systems is placement of the actual parts, and wiring up the motors. The next steps for our system is to get all the parts in from the vendors, and to place them into the bot. The software we needed for our system would be CAD and MS Excel. For the final bot, we'll need tools to get the system into the bot; things like dremel saws, screwdrivers, etc.
